  In my opinion blogs are very interesting, informative and sometimes just leave you left asking yourself, " why did I just read that?".  As with the two blogs I just read, "Brain Eating Amoeba" and "Are all men obsessed with the Roman Empire?", all of the above relate.  https://gizmodo.com/arkansas-resident-killed-by-brain-eating-amoeba-1850843949    https://mashable.com/article/roman-empire-men-tiktok-trend

  I liked that they both had interesting titles and peaked my interest immediately. They both included good amounts of information and with equal amounts of structure and links. The blog on "Are all men obsessed with the Roman Empire?",  had questions posed to men to see their immediate responses and in most cases they said more than once a week. The author wrote and structured her blog based on a survey style  questions and didn't overwhelm with too much extra nonsense. It was a long enough read to get the content of the question and ended making the reader want to look up the Roman Empire, nice work.

  I read the blog on "Brain eating Amoeba because it sort of scared me, the title hooked me and I learned that's important when writing a blog. I feel compelled to keep reading for the details on what not to do, and that is a key element in the blog purpose and content. Blogs with pictures are a good way to help the reader get a better feel for the authors intention, I believe most people like photos in their readings it helps with the imagination, so I would have preferred more pictures in both of the blogs.

  Over all both blogs had catchy titles and good insight, they encouraged the reader to look into other  posts and more information.

    I cannot tell you how many times I have read a blog entirely then asked myself why in the world did I just waste all that time reading this. The "Brain Eating Amoeba" blog was an interesting read though. Knowing that this illness enters the body through the nose is scary and crazy at the same time!

    I also agree the statement, "Why did I just read that," was perfect. The catchy titles are usually what catches my attention and it can lead to either interesting topics I would have never read before, or make me not want to fall victim to clickbait. Great job! By the way, do you think you could survive the Roman Empire for a day?

Blog #5 Beauty Blogger, Mayhem Commercial

I chose the Beauty Blogger commercial from mayhem, well since it is a blog. There he sits, in front of mirror curling his hair for a mermaid how to. Commenting on how he will get a ton of likes and a ton of thumbs down emojies, referring to the social media audiance. Putting the curling iron down on the towel in front of him it catches fire. Now he makes his exit after stating that with out the correct covrage of insurance you will be left with a mess and thats the "Mayhem" moto, "Be better protected from Mayhem, like me" He puts on the girls glasses and walks out leaving the towel on fire. I believe that American culture has become a watch and see what happens, probaby due to social media. These Mayhem commercials strike us as funny mostly becuase of the way the actor portrays the accidents. We laugh at the context of the siutation, as we gasp or react the incident that occurs.
